Co-founder and Managing Partner

Abdel Reid

Prior to co-founding Jacobs and Reid, Abdel Reid was a Managing Director and Head of Value Creation at Fifth Wall, a Real Estate Tech Venture Capital Firm with over $1bn in AuM. He oversaw Fifth Wall's efforts in brokering partnerships between real estate technology portfolio companies and corporate real estate partners.

Prior to joining Fifth Wall, Abdel was Vice President of Operations at Taymax, leading daily operations of one of the largest franchisees of Planet Fitness gyms with over 50 clubs across California, Texas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Toronto. During his tenure, Taymax was recognized as the 2017-2018 Franchisee of the Year. Over the course of 2018, Abdel helped to execute the sale of the business to Trilantic Capital Partners, a New York based private equity firm with over $8.4bn in capital commitments. 

Abdel started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs before joining 3iā€™s private equity practice.

Abdel is from Georgetown, Guyana, and currently lives in Los Angeles. He graduated from Harvard University, where he received his BA in economics and Italian.

Casey Jacobs

Prior to co-founding Jacobs and Reid, Casey Jacobs was a founding partner and Vice President of Business Development for a technology and entertainment start-up, The Crown League, where he lead all revenue generation, corporate strategy, and strategic partnership efforts.

Casey has extensive experience in the entertainment, sports, corporate finance, and media industries, focused on business development, corporate strategy, and value creation. 

He began his career at Goldman Sachs in investment banking.  After Goldman, Casey joined Creative Artists Agency in athlete representation and sports business development, working out of both the LA and Beijing offices.  After CAA, he joined the business development and affiliate sales team at Time Warner Cable Sports (now Charter), helping to build and run the Dodgers and Lakers regional sports networks and all TWC local sports & news networks across the country.  He has since lead business development at two digital media companies, Whalerock Industries and PodcastOne, and was a founding partner of an e-sports sports startup.

Casey is from Chicago, and graduated from Brown University, where he studied international relations and East Asian studies.
